Propolis contains over 300 natural compounds, including amino acids, coumarins, phenolic aldehydes, polyphenols, sesquiterpene quinines and steroids. In general, raw propolis is made up of approximately 50% resins, 30 %waxes, 10 % essential oils, 5 % pollen and 5 % of various organic compounds. Honey bees create Bee Propolis by harvesting natural sap at the site of a plant injury, carefully blending it together with enzymes and beeswax.
