Hormone therapy for prostate cancer is used to block the hormone testosterone in the body. Testosterone fuels the growth of prostate cancer cells. Hormone therapy might be a choice for prostate cancer at different times and for different reasons during cancer treatment.

Testosterone plays a central role in male development and health. Likewise, androgen deficiency, or hypogonadism, is associated with a variety of symptoms including decreased energy, diminished libido and erectile dysfunction, among others. Male androgen levels steadily decline with age, and, in a subset of symptomatic older men, can result in late-onset hypogonadism (LOH). Over the last decade, increased awareness of hypogonadism among patients and providers has led to a significant rise in the use of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for hypogonadism, and especially in LOH. Accompanying the rise in TRT are concerns of potential adverse effects, including cardiovascular risks and the promotion of prostate cancer. The ‘androgen hypothesis’ asserts that prostate cancer development and progression is driven by androgens, and thus TRT has the theoretical potential to drive prostate cancer development and progression. In this review, we examine existing data surrounding testosterone and prostate cancer. There is significant evidence that androgens promote prostate cancer in experimental systems. However, there is no clear evidence that elevations in endogenous testosterone levels promote the development of prostate cancer in humans. As a result of experimental and historical data on the progression of prostate cancer following TRT, there has been widespread belief that TRT will promote disease progression in prostate cancer patients. Despite these fears, there are a growing number of studies demonstrating no increase in prostate cancer incidence among men on TRT. Furthermore, in studies involving a small number of patients, there has been no discernable increase in disease progression in prostate cancer patients on TRT. While data from large, prospective, randomized, controlled trials are absent, TRT in select prostate cancer patients is likely safe. In the end, the use of TRT in prostate cancer patients is still considered experimental and should only be offered after well-informed shared decision making and with close monitoring.

1) Boost Testoterone

Onions and garlic are your allies in the kitchen and in the bedroom. They may help you make more and better sperm. Both raise levels of a hormone that triggers your body to make testosterone. And both have high levels of natural plant chemical called flavonoids, which may safeguard your li'l swimmers against damage.

This mineral blocks a protein from binding with testosterone. The result? More of the usable man-stuff floating around in your blood. Spinach is packed with magnesium. Almonds, cashews, and peanuts are good sources, too.

There's a reason why these mollusks are known for being great for fertility. They have almost five times your recommended daily dose of zinc. This mineral helps your body make testosterone. You can also get it in beef and beans. And it's often added to breakfast cereal.

Bonus: Zinc boosts your immune system.

The recommended supplement for low levels of testosterone are: Testosterone Booster, Ultra Vitamin for Men, & Ashwagandha.

  1. Testosterone Booster

Our testosterone booster has a good mix of Tribulus Terrestris, chrysin, horny goat weed, hawthorn berries and more. Tribulus Terrestris is a plant extract commonly used in traditional medicine to improve libido and athletic performance. Tribulus is widely used in Ayurveda as Vrsya (an aphrodisiac for men).  It is believed to stimulate the production of luteinizing hormone, which in turn can boost testosterone levels. Chrysin, a flavonoid found in certain plants, has been suggested to have anti-estrogenic effects, potentially increasing the availability of testosterone in the body. Horny goat weed, also known as Epimedium, is an herb that has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. It contains icariin, a compound believed to support testosterone production and improve sexual function. Lastly, hawthorn berries are rich in antioxidants and have been traditionally used to support cardiovascular health. This supplement is designed for guys who want to support their energy, vitality, and performance.

Preservatives are completely absent from our recipes, and all of the ingredients are 100 percent pure and natural.

Recommended Use: For optimal results, adults should take 2 veggie capsules once daily with 8 ounces of water and meals, or as directed by a physician.

A doctor should be consulted before using if you have any medical conditions. If you are pregnant or nursing, do not use.

  1. Ultra Vitamin for Men

Contains a complete blend of the essential vitamins and minerals, powerful fruit and berry antioxidants to support detoxing, natural energizers from herbs and berries for a natural energy lift with no caffeine. This supplement is formulated with a blend of natural ingredients that have been scientifically proven to enhance testosterone production. By taking Ultra Vitamin for Men supplements regularly, men can experience an increase in energy levels, improved muscle mass, enhanced libido, and an overall improvement in their sense of well-being. Additionally, these supplements also contain key vitamins and minerals that are essential for maintaining optimal health. These include vitamin D, zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B6, which all play a crucial role in supporting testosterone production and overall male health.

  1. Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha, a herb commonly used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine, has been studied for its potential to naturally increase testosterone levels. Research suggests that Ashwagandha may stimulate the production of luteinizing hormone, which in turn promotes the production of testosterone. Additionally, Ashwagandha has been shown to reduce cortisol levels, a stress hormone that can inhibit testosterone production. By reducing stress and promoting hormonal balance, Ashwagandha supplements may help optimize testosterone production. However, it is important to note that while some studies suggest a positive correlation between Ashwagandha supplementation and increased testosterone levels, more research is needed to fully understand the extent and mechanisms of its effects. As with any supplement, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before starting Ashwagandha supplementation, especially for individuals with pre-existing medical conditions or who are taking other medications. Additionally, it is crucial to understand that a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate sleep, is essential for maintaining optimal testosterone levels.

Suggested Use: Take two (2) capsules once a day as a dietary supplement. For best results, take 20-30 min before a meal with an 8oz glass of water or as directed by your healthcare professional.
